Lehigh County man who led police on chase while high will spend up to 10 years behind bars

PHILADELPHIA - A Lehigh County man who led Philadelphia area police on a wild chase while high on drugs will spend at least three years behind bars.

Macungie resident Blake Bills, who had pleaded guilty to various charges related to the chase, was sentenced today to three to 10 years in prison.

Bills' sentence will run concurrent to a sentence for a burglary he committed in Lehigh County.

Officials say Bills and his fiancee Shayna Sykes stole a Camden, N.J. police car and led officers on a chase into Philadelphia where they were stopped.

Police say Sykes then stole another police car while Bills was being arrested.

Officials say the couple had admitted to being high on heroin and cocaine.

Sykes already pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three to eight years in prison.
