Lehigh University suspends faculty member after sexual allegations

The faculty member has not been identified.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A Lehigh University faculty member has been placed on paid leave pending an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.

The university made the announcement Tuesday night.

The faculty member has not been identified and the nature of the allegation has not been made public.

See below for the statement release by the university.

"We are writing to inform the Lehigh community that the university has been made aware of allegations of sexual and other inappropriate conduct by a faculty member.

The university is investigating.

The faculty member has been placed on paid leave, and will remain on leave until the investigation is completed.

During this time, the faculty member will not be permitted on the Lehigh campus or in its facilities."
