ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Lehigh Valley residents are preparing to celebrate the Independence Day holiday in grand style.

A release by The IronPigs, official sponsors of the "Fourth-On The-Field" event at Coca-Cola Park, say the event, slated for Friday the 4th, is officially sold out.

The "Fourth-On The-Field" event is a three-hour Independence Day carnival-like event featuring the largest fireworks display in Coca-Cola Park history.

IronPigs President and General Manager Kurt Landes commented that, "The reaction to the "Fourth-On The-Field" has been incredible and overwhelming."

He said the Lehigh Valley has shown tremendous enthusiasm for the event and as such plans are already in the works to expand the "Fourth-On The-Field" next year, to allow for even more attendees and even more activities for fans of all ages.

He promises a fireworks show in 2015 that will top even this year's record show.

For ticket holders to the event Friday, the gates open at 6 p.m. and the special holiday fireworks show will begin promptly at 9 p.m.

There will also be a wide array of mouth-watering food options from local and regional food truck vendors as well as traditional Coca-Cola Park offerings.

Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

There will be live music before the show and other activities will also be available for children.
