Police: Wilson clerk admits to stealing sewer payments

WILSON, Pa. - A borough official in Northampton County is at the center of a criminal investigation.

A Wilson resident reported a discrepancy on a recent sewer bill, police said.

When police started investigating, they said they discovered a number of other discrepancies and questioned borough clerk Lisa Guth.

Guth admitted to taking the money, said police, adding that she's been placed on administrative leave.

The borough is conducting an audit to determine how much money has been taken.

Guth has not yet been charged.
