LIVE original lineup to perform at Musikfest this summer

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Pennsylvania's own LIVE will be headlining Musikfest this year.

The alternative rockers will be performing at the Sands Steel Stage on Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday at 10 a.m. at musikfest.org and 610-332-3378. They are $39-$49. 

LIVE's original lineup consists of Ed Kowalczyk, Chad Taylor, Patrick Dahlheimer and Chad Gracey.

They have been called one of alternative's rock's most potent acts and got their start in nearby York, Pa.

The group has sold more than 22 million albums worldwide and earned two Number 1 albums with Throwing Copper in 1994 and Secret Samadhi in 1997. 

LIVE has released hit songs such as “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “All Over You” and “Lakini’s Juice.” 

Other Sands Steel Stage headliners include Santana Aug. 4, Chicago Aug. 5, Father John Misty Aug. 6, Aloe Blacc Aug. 8, Godsmack Aug. 9, Toby Keith Aug. 10, The Band Perry Aug. 11, Lee Brice and Justin Moore Aug. 12 and Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson on Aug. 13.
