Local artists paint mural to help soothe burn patients

SALISBURY TWP., Pa. - Local artists have come together to help ease the pain for burn patients at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Six artists recently finished their work on a mural in one of the hospital's operating rooms at the Cedar Crest campus.

The room is used by burn survivors as they undergo treatments and dressing changes that can be painful.

The murals are meant to be soothing and to distract patients with hidden numbers, letters and animals.
