Local lawmakers give up pay during shutdown

Some lawmakers are showing solidarity in putting their paychecks on hold.

More than half of Pennsylvania's delegation has asked for its pay to be withheld as long as the government shutdown continues.

Republican Senator Pat Toomey is among them.

And so is his Democratic counterpart, Bob Casey.

Congressmen Charlie Dent and Jim Gerlach are also deferring their pay.

Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick says he's donating his pay to a local church.
