Lucky ducks rescued in Lehigh County

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - A group of ducklings is back on the water in Lehigh County, thanks to some fast-acting firefighters.

Seven baby ducks became trapped in a storm drain in the parking lot of the Walmart on Macarthur Road in Whitehall Township, officials said.

Firefighters responded to the parking lot around 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

A firefighter was able to enter the drain and remove the ducks, according to a 69 News crew on the scene.

They were transported to nearby waterway, where they were released.
