LVHN sued for alleged age discrimination

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh Valley Health Network is on the receiving end of a lawsuit.

The hospital is being sued over alleged age discrimination.

The suit was filed by several former housekeeping employees who worked at the LVH- Muhlenberg campus.

They say back in 2012 the health network laid off entire housekeeping departments at three campuses.

The lawsuit claims the employees who were laid-off at two of those sites were given the option to transfer but the Muhlenberg employees-- because of their ages- were not given that option until after they complained.

Officials with the health network tell us they disagree with the allegations and will defend themselves.
