Man accused of 2 robberies-1 near police station in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown Police are interviewing a man they believe is responsible for two separate armed robberies Friday morning.

The 18-year-old is in custody, but police say he committed two robberies in downtown Allentown.

Police said a woman had her purse stolen near police headquarters at 425 Hamilton St.425 hamilton street

In the other incident, three men were robbed on Maple Street between Ninth and Tenth streets.

Police believe the suspect in custody is responsible for both armed robberies, but it's unclear what kind of weapons were used in the incidents.

No injuries were reported.
