Man arrested 10 minutes after hit-and-run accident on Route 22

PALMER TWP., Pa. - Police in Northampton County have arrested and charged a Virginia man in connection with a hit and run accident on Route 22.

The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday on Route 22, west of the 25th Street exit.

Palmer Township police said a car driven by Ann Conroy, 47, of Walnutport, was traveling in an eastbound lane when her car was hit from behind by a white pickup truck with Virginia plates.

Conroy and her passenger, Jasmine Bradley, 18, of Allentown, were both injured in the accident and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The pickup truck left the scene. Police located it about 10 minutes later in the Walgreen's parking lot at 2535 William Penn Highway in Palmer Township.

Henry Minor Morrissette, 25, of Powhatan, Va., was taken into custody and charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, duty to give information and render aid, careless driving, and related charges.

He was released after posting 10 percent of $10,000 bail.
