Man arrested for allegedly assaulting officers

UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Upper Macungie Township police arrested a man after they said he assaulted two officers earlier this week.

Police said they responded to a disturbance on Natalie Drive on Wednesday, where they encountered Thomas Patton, 21, who officers said was being combative.

Police said Patton assaulted two officers with the Upper Macungie Police and was placed into custody with the aid of additional officers who were called to assist.

Patton was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment after the incident, and was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking on Friday.

He is facing two counts of aggravated assault, one count of resisting arrest and related charges.  Patton is being held on $75,000 bail, police said.
