Man arrested after being rescued from quarry in Slatington

SLATINGTON, Pa. - A man is facing charges after leading officers on a foot chase in Slatington Friday night.

Police said the man fled on foot after being pulled over in a vehicle reported stolen out of Coatesville.

He reportedly ran into a wooded area after fleeing from the scene in the 100 block of Main Street in Slatington.

Police said the man fell down a 30-foot embankment into a quarry during the foot pursuit.

He is facing charges for receiving stolen property and fleeing.

There were two passengers in the vehicle when police pulled the car over.
