Man arrested for robbing Easton convenience store

EASTON, Pa. - A Pen Argyl man has been arrested for robbing a convenience store in Easton.

Zachary Farleigh, 22, faces charges of robbery, discharge of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

According to the police, the robbery happened February 23.

According to the police report, Farleigh entered Chubby’s, located in the 2100 block of Sullivan Trail, pointed a silver handgun at the cashier and demanded money.

Farleigh was then allegedly seen in the surveillance footage leaving the scene in the beige Cadillac with a unique sticker on the back.

The suspect was wearing glasses and a blue-colored bandana around his mouth.

On Monday, police received a call concerning Farleigh’s location.

The witness told police that he recognized Farleigh’s two-door Cadillac from a photo in a news article.

When police arrived at Farleigh’s residence on Monday, they say they discovered clothing matching the description and a beige Cadillac with a unique sticker on the back.

He told the police that he became nervous while fleeing the store and fired the weapon.

The gun used in the robbery was recovered.

Police say Farleigh later confessed to the crime.
