Man charged after fleeing police, causing crash in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A Slatington man is facing charges after an incident in Allentown Tuesday.

Kashawn Deas, 25, is charged with resisting arrest, illegal possession of a firearm and related offenses.

Allentown police said they were looking for the man after a domestic incident Tuesday morning, and when they found him on Walnut Street, he took off in a car.

Police say he crashed at Sixth Street, then fled on foot.

Officers found him hiding in a garage and he was taken into custody.

Deas is being held in Lehigh County Jail unable to post $100,000 bail.
