Man charged in beating death of neighbor enters guilty plea

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A Lehigh County man accused in the beating death of his neighbor has copped a plea deal.

Officials say Alexander Roscioli, of Emmaus, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of involuntary manslaughter as part of a negotiated plea. A charge of aggravated assault was withdrawn.

He will be sentenced on August 29th.

Officials say Roscioli punched and kicked 70-year-old John Sweeney during an argument at their apartment complex in August, 2013.

Sweeney died at the hospital the next day.

Roscioli turned himself in to police in November.
