Man fatally shot in car in Allentown identified; coroner seeks kin

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A man found fatally shot in his car Sunday afternoon has been identified, and officials are looking for his family.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said Monday that Lionel D. Blackledge was pronounced dead Sunday at 4:45 p.m.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. in front of 134 E. Cumberland St. in Allentown.

An autopsy was performed Monday morning, and the coroner said Blackledge, 27, of Allentown, died of a gunshot wound to the body. The death was ruled a homicide.

Police said Blackledge's shooting was related to a police standoff Monday morning in the area of Hanover Avenue and Carlisle streets.

The coroner's office is looking for Blackledge's next of kin. He had no known address in Allentown.
