Man gets hoodwinked over TV purchase

Victim thinks he's buying TV, get home to find speakers

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A man was scammed Saturday afternoon when he tried to buy a television in the parking lot of a local convenience store.

Bethlehem police said the man thought he was buying a TV from another man at the Wawa at 741 E. Broad Street around 3 p.m.

He didn't think to check the box first, and when he got home, there were only speakers in the box, according to police.

Police have made no arrests in the case.
