Man loses lawsuit against Sands Casino for previous assault

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Superior Court affirms Nicholas Mullins alone is to blame for beating his girlfriend so badly in 2012.

Mullins had sued Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem for serving him too many free drinks, saying it helped lead to the assault between he and his girlfriend.

However, he lost the lawsuit.

Mullins spent four years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assault in the 2012 incident.

Court documents state the altercation occurred between Mullins and his girlfriend in their hotel room three hours after their last alcoholic beverage. As a result, his girlfriend suffered serious head trauma. Mullins was injured to the groin and face.
