Man snorts heroin while son runs around parking lot

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem police have arrested a Walnutport man who was snorting heroin while his son ran around a parking lot.

On Thursday, police were called to the Rite Aid Drug Store at 104 E. Third St. to check on a man who had passed out.

They learned that 33-year-old Richard Kohler snorted heroin
while his 3-year-old son ran around the parking lot.

Kohler, who resides in the 100 block of Riverview Drive in Walnutport, was charged with child endangerment, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

Kohler was turned over to police in Coplay, where he was wanted on several other felony charges, including retail theft. He is now in Lehigh County Prison.
