Man stabbed by stepdaughter's boyfriend, Bethlehem police say

Police: Suspect used steak knife

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - An 18-year-old Bethlehem man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend's stepfather with a steak knife, according to police.

Nathaneal Cruz, 18, of the 700 block of Broadway, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the April 29 incident.

Police did not provide a possible motive for the stabbing, which happened in an apartment the 700 block of Broadway.

Police said Cruz fled the apartment after the stabbing, but turned himself in a short time later.

Cruz admitted to the stabbing, according to police.

The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital with a wound to his left torso, police said. His condition is unknown a this time.

Cruz is currently on state parole stemming from a 2011 robbery charge, according to court documents.

Cruz was sent to jail after failing to post $75,000 bail.
