Marty Nothstein claims the 7th Congressional District Republican primary

However, Browning has not yet conceded.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - It appears Marty Nothstein has won the 7th Congressional District Republican primary by a narrow margin over Dean Browning.

Nothstein and Browning watched the results creep in all night, being separated much of the evening by less than 100 votes.

Nothstein finally declared victory, thanking Browning, saying competition makes people stronger.

Browning called Nothstein to congratulate him on a good race but held off conceding, saying he wanted to take "another look at the numbers."

Nothstein is listed has having gained 16,004 votes to Browning's 15,696.

Nothstein serves on the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners and is a cyclist who has won gold and silver Olympic medals.

Dean Browning is a chief financial officer for New World Aviation at the Lehigh Valley International Airport.

Nothstein will now go on to compete against Democrat Susan Wild to fill the seat held by Charlie Dent, who recently resigned after years in the position.
