Mosquito samples test positive for West Nile in Lehigh, Northampton counties

Four mosquito samples in the area have tested positive for West Nile, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

On Wednesday, the DEP reported the positive tests in: Bethlehem (Northampton County); Upper Macungie Township (Lehigh County); Abington Township (Montgomery County); and Wilkes Barre (Luzerne County).

The DEP says the state's West Nile Virus Control Program staff are responding with additional surveillance and control.
