Municipal League to hold convention in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Downtown Allentown will be the home of next year's Municipal League Convention.

The League's annual gathering, which will bring more than 300 attendees to the new Marriott Hotel being constructed next to the PPL Center, is planned from June 23-26, 2015.

John Brenner, the Deputy Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Municipal League, says the league also plans to have its annual "Playground Project."

According to Brenner, Allentown has already applied for a state grant for this project, but a playground location has not yet been chosen.

Previous host cities include Bethlehem, Erie, Pittsburgh, State College and Philadelphia.
