Musical icons to headline special acoustic concert

EASTON, Pa. - The director of the museum and archives at Martin Guitar -- Dick Boak -- is celebrating his retirement with a fitting ending.

An acoustic concert will take place Jan. 6 at Easton's State Theatre, featuring musical icons such as John Mayer, Steve Miller, Marty Stuart & his Fabulous Superlatives, Laurence Juber, Craig Thatcher, and more.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the non-profit State Theatre Center for the Arts. 

"We are honored beyond words that Dick would share his celebration with us," said Shelley Brown, President & CEO of the State Theatre. "He has been a great friend and supporter for years and we are thrilled to be part for what will be a once-in-a-lifetime event. He is revered by performers and artists with whom he has collaborated , and honoring his amazing career here will be a night to remember."

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and ticket prices range from $85 to $184. Tickets go on sale Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. for State Theatre members only. Public sales begin Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.
