National Museum of Industrial History's directors fire back at grand jury report

Museum's directors fire back at grand jury report

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The board behind the proposed Bethlehem Steel museum is firing back at allegations from a Northampton County grand jury.

In a report released last month, the grand jury claimed that the head of the National Museum of Industrial History, Stephen Donches, had mishandled millions of dollars in donations over a number of years.

The museum's board of directors met Tuesday to discuss the report. Board members decided not to ask Donches to step down, but he may get a smaller salary.

The board is also thinking about having an open house at the museum to show the public the progress being made.
