National student walkout planned for March 14 to protest gun violence

Local students are planning to take part in the "Enough Walkout" on March 14th.

It involves students and teachers across the country walking out of class for 17 minutes, signifying the number of people killed in last week's shooting in Florida. They're demanding that Congress take legislative action on gun control.

Nazareth High School, along with eight others, including Parkland and Liberty, are signed up online to participate.

However, Nazareth's principal says whoever signed them up was not authorized to do so.

He says the district has not had a chance to discuss the issue because many of the marches were organized over the holiday weekend.
