Nazareth woman accused of setting fire to home, church

EASTON, Pa. - A Northampton County woman has been charged with starting a pair of fires, one at her home and one inside a church.

Karla Dewey lit a poster board on fire inside an office at St. John's United Church of Christ in 2009, said police, who noted that she was supposed to be at choir practice at the time.

Dewey is also charged with starting a fire at her home on North Green Street in Nazareth. Three homes were damaged.

Dewey is also a person of interest in several other fires, police said.
