Neighbors of Cpl. Kelly 'praying for speedy recovery'

UPPER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police said Cpl. Seth Kelly is stable but in critical condition after being shot multiple times on Tuesday.

Cpl. Kelly is a 13-year veteran of the force.

Kelly and his wife, who also works in law enforcement, live in Upper Nazareth Township.

Neighbors said they were shocked when they learned what had happened.

"[I'm just] devastated...being this close to where it happened. I saw the helicopter fly over and was able to see it fly from the scene to the hospital," said Kevin Lewis.

Lewis said he has lived next to Kelly for about five years.

He said their neighborhood is close-knit and everyone is praying for a speedy recovery.

"You feel helpless, there is not much you can do...just have to wait. We're pulling for him that's for sure," Lewis said.
