New Bethany Ministries celebrates 24th annual holiday brunch

VIDEO: New Bethany Ministries 24th...

This is the 24th year New Bethany Ministries kitchen has been busy on Christmas morning.

"Our lovely volunteers behind me have been working very diligently since 7 a.m. to make everything as festive as possible with decorations," said Kate Cohen, director of development and communications at New Bethany Ministries.

Volunteers cooked up a big holiday breakfast and served it with a smile to families and community members, many who have no other place to go.

"We're really grateful this time of year. The community surrounds us with a ton of support for those in need...going through difficult times," Cohen said.

New Bethany Ministries and their volunteers say they look forward to the tradition of serving a warm holiday meal, and say on Christmas morning it's good to be among family and friends.

"We have a great community in Bethlehem that surrounds our folks in need during this time of year, especially when it's very cold," Cohen said.
