New cookie dough store opens in Lehigh Valley mall

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - We all have some childhood memory of reaching into the mixing bowl for cookie dough.

"It's nostalgia, it brings you back to your childhood. When you remember putting your finger in the cookie dough bowl and your mom slapping your hand. Get your hand out the cookie dough," said Marc Behar.

Fortunately, Dough Life, which just opened its first location in Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley Mall, offers safe, raw cookie dough served by the scoop. It's made with heat-treated flour and no eggs.

"The mall helps with the foot traffic," said Behar. "We have 12 flavors and every other month we come out with a mystery flavor. This month is unicorn, cotton candy flavor."

The Mcatee family came here from Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

"We heard about this cookie dough and we had the day off so we figured we'd come out and try it out because our little ones love cookie dough," said Rebecca Mcatee.

If you're worried you might not be able to finish all of it...

"The beauty of our product is whatever you don't finish, it lasts for two weeks in the fridge," said Behar.
