New rules for Allentown electronics recycling

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - New guidelines are coming into play for 2018's year of electronics recycling in Allentown.

E-cycling is only for city residents and that status will now be confirmed by a driver's license, according to a news release from the city.

In addition, people are limited to the recycling of three TVs per year per address. They are also limited to one projection television or two regular televisions per vehicle per day.

The first electronics recycling event takes place Saturday Jan. 6. Televisions, keyboards, computers, monitors, prints, scanners, laptops and electronics will be accepted at the Allentown Yard Waste Site at 1401 Oxford Drive.

E-cycling will be held during the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon from January to March. From April to November, e-cycling will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the first Saturday of the month.
