New traffic patterns take effect around Route 33 interchange

The Route 33 interchange project in Northampton County is moving full steam ahead, and that means drivers can expect a slow-go for the next several months.

New traffic patterns take effect this week on Routes 33 and 512 in Plainfield Township and Wind Gap.

Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions between the Belfast exit and the Monroe County line on Route 33, and Route 512 will be down to one lane between Male Road and Epps Street.

The work is part of a $13 million project to reconstruct the Route 33 interchange. It's supposed to be completed in May 2015.
