Nicholas Ibarra going to court for Parkland High incident

Suspect waived preliminary hearing Monday

The case against Nicholas Ibarra, the armed man apprehended inside Parkland High School on June 5, is going to court.

Ibarra waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday.

Police said Ibarra who was carrying two folding knives, planned to attack a student inside the high school in South Whitehall Township.

Charges against Ibarra include possessing a weapon on school property, terroristic threats, criminal trespass, possessing a small amount of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.
