Ninth time is not the charm for N.Y. man at casino

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A New York man is facing charges for entering the Sands casino for a ninth time after being evicted on eight other occasions, officials said.

Ze Yu Zhang was arrested at about 12:50 a.m. Monday, after a casino security officer called police, officials said.

Zhang was first evicted from the casino on Nov. 13, 2010, and most recently on July 30, and each time he was read the eviction notice by a Chinese interpreter, officials said.

Zhang, 45, of Brooklyn, was arraigned on a trespassing charge and committed to Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 5.
