No Stone Brewing Co. plant coming to Pennsylvania

Both Allentown and Bethlehem were hoping to become the home of new brewery

ESCONDIDO, CA. - Allentown and Bethlehem are out of the running to become home of a new Stone Brewing Co. plant.

The three finalist cities in the California-based brewery's search for a location east of the Mississippi are Richmond, Va., Norfolk, Va., and Columbus, Ohio, according to a company spokeswoman.

"We do not have a specific date in which we will make a final decision; however, I anticipate an announcement to be made in 30 to 60 days," said Sabrina LoPiccolo of Stone Brewing.

"Unfortunately, I'm unable to share any details beyond the confirmation of cities."

Both Allentown and Bethlehem were hoping to be selected for the new plant.
