Nurse accused of sexual relationship with Lehigh inmate

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A nurse formerly employed at the Lehigh County Jail has been charged with having inappropriate sexual contact with a prisoner.

The district attorney's office announced the charge against Danika Alexander, 27, of Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Tuesday morning.

She faces one count of institutional sexual assault, a third-degree felony.

Investigators say recorded phone calls between June and July revealed Alexander was having a sexual relationship with one of the inmates within the jail.
