Lisanne Chin, 27, died in the blaze Wednesday.

More details on deadly fire

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - According to officials, witnesses at the scene of Wednesday's fire on Adams Island in Allentown informed firefighters that Lisanne Chin, the victim of the fire, was in a bedroom closet as the fire blazed on.

Witnesses told officials that Chin called her boyfriend at work from the closet.

Chin lived with her boyfriend and his father at the house at 56 Adams Island.

The fire broke out shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday and Chin was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:16 p.m.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.

They have faced setbacks because of the location of the house in relation to the surrounding waters; as the back of the house burnt off, it fell in to the water, complicating the investigation.

The origin of the fire was in the rear of the house.

Information about the cause of the fire is expected to be released Friday.
