Owner of Melt, Blue to open new restaurant

UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. - The owner of two of the Lehigh Valley's most popular restaurants is serving up a new option for diners.

George Paxos, owner of Blue and Melt, is opening a new restaurant, called Torre. It'll be located at the Promenade Shops, directly across from Melt, inside the former home of "Pacifico" in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County.

Paxos said Torre will offer a modern twist on authentic Mexican cuisine. "Torre," by the way, is the Spanish word for "tower," and it's a fitting name if you consider one of the restaurant's most unique features.

"The centerpiece of the restaurant is a three-story custom tequila tower that will feature over 80 tequilas," Paxos said.

Torre is expected to open its doors in the fall.
