Palmer swears in 3 part-time police officers

PALMER TWP., Pa. - Palmer Township has three new police officers.

The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors on Monday night swore in three part-time police officers. 

The new officers,  Randall S. Pompei Jr.; Peter Hamati-Attieh; and Alex Thomas Soloe, were sworn into office by Dave Colver, chairman of the board.

In other action, the board approved the transfer of a liquor license from 2332 Main St., Northampton, to Wingstop, formerly Maryland Fried Chicken, in the 25th Street Shopping Center.

Attorney Joe Mashinski, representing the franchise, said customers can buy beer with their wings while dinning; they may also purchase six-packs to go.

There will be no bar or hard liquor and the business will close by midnight, he said.
