Parkland High teacher accused of sexual contact with student waives hearing

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A Parkland High School teacher was in court Wednesday.

Christopher Johnson, 34, waived his preliminary hearing on charges over an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

The Lehigh County DA's office said Johnson had inappropriate sexual contact with an underage female student that he was tutoring.

Authorities were alerted by the student's parents after they found inappropriate messages from Johnson on the girl's phone.
