Pedestrian hit by car in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A 17-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after being hit by a pickup truck in Allentown.

It happened just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon at 15th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

We're told the boy was crossing the on-ramp onto 15th Street when the truck hit him.

He was taken to the hospital.

Police say his injuries are not life threatening.
