Phantoms will play pre-season games in PPL Center

Tickets for the two early October games go on sale Aug. 6

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Lehigh Valley Phantoms will play two pre-season home hockey games at the PPL Center in center-city Allentown.

The Phantoms will make their Lehigh Valley debut when they host the Hershey Bears at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 1.

They will play the Albany Devils at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 4, also in PPL Center.

The Phantoms, an AHL affliliate of the Philadelphia Flyers , also will play one "away" pre-season game at 7 p.m. Oct. 3, also against Hershey.

"What a great way to start our preseason schedule -- with our bitter rivals, the Hershey Bears," said Phantoms executive vice president Chris Porreca in a news release.

"It will give our fans their first glimpse of Phantoms hockey.

"Preseason games give the team, community and staff the opportunity to get ready for the regular season and to get rockin' in the PPL Center!"

The Phantoms have announced their regular season home opener in PPL Center is scheduled for  Oct. 17.

Tickets for the  preseason home games will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 6.

Fans may choose upper-bowl seating for $12 or lower-bowl seating for $15.

All full season-ticket holders will receive tickets to the two pre-season games as part of their season-ticket plan.
