Police: Easton woman assaulted while running along Arts Trail

Runner assaulted in Easton

EASTON, Pa. - According to police, a woman was assaulted Tuesday afternoon while running along the Arts Trail in Easton.

At around 4:35 p.m., a 40-year-old Easton woman was grabbed, thrown to the ground and punched by a male in his early twenties on the Arts Trail near the Willie Cole Grace Gate, police said.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s,  approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 180 to 190 pounds.

He was wearing a red shirt and black jeans and was carrying a black string style backpack, according to a police release.

He is also described as having "dark spike style hair," according to a police release.
