Police investigating possible connection between 2 robberies

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown Police say an older female was robbed early Monday morning while getting in or out of her car.

It happened in the 1700 block of Chew Street around 6 a.m.

Captain Glenn Granitz says they're looking for two male actors who fled in a dark SUV.

No injuries occurred but the actors left with some 'property', police say.

Officials are investigating whether this robbery and another in South Whitehall Township, which also occurred Monday morning, are connected or not.

South Whitehall Township police said around 5:15 a.m. Monday, two people robbed and stole a car from someone in the Comfort Suites parking lot on Hamilton Boulevard.

Police said the robbers went up to the victim sitting in his car, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, keys and the victim's wallet.

Anyone with information is asked to call Allentown Police Department's Detective Bureau at 610-437-7721 OR South Whitehall Township Police at 610-398-0337.
