Police make arrest in ongoing heroin dealing investigation in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A Bethlehem man was arrested after a search of his apartment produced 75 bags of heroin.

Alexander Acevedo, 36, was arrested Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m. after police executed a warrant at his second floor apartment in the 1000 block of East Fourth Street.

Police also found a scale and packaging material, as well as $275, in Acevedo's apartment.

Acevedo was arraigned before Judge Jackie Taschner and remanded to Northampton County Prison after being unable to post $500,000 bail.

He is facing possession, possession with the intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

Police say this search warrant and the ensuing arrest were part of an ongoing investigation into heroin dealing in Bethlehem.
