Police: Man crashes stolen SUV into tobacco store

Driver crashes into tobacco stand

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem Police say a suspect's escape plan went up in smoke when he crashed into a tobacco shop.

It all started around 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

Police say they spotted a man driving a stolen SUV in the Marvine-Pembroke area.

When the driver saw the cops, he took off.

Police chased the car down Stefko Boulevard where the suspect crashed into the Cigar and Cigarette Outlet.

Officers then chased the man on foot and arrested him in the backyard of a nearby home.
