Police: Man slashed in face, upper body in Allentown laundromat

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown police say a man was slashed at a laundromat Wednesday night. 

It happened at the Family Wash Day in the 900 block of Linden Street around 11:30 p.m. 

Police say a 43-year-old man was slashed in the face and upper body. 

Officers arrived and arrested Gite Brooks.

Brooks has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. 

The victim was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
