Police: Man wrecks car with infant inside

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A man is facing aggravated assault charges over a wild domestic incident.

A woman refused to stay at the home of her child's father, Bryan Rivera-Alicea, on North Front Street in Allentown after a night out, police said.

The woman called for a ride, and police said Rivera-Alicea confronted the car and then chased after it with his minivan.

Eventually, police said Rivera-Alicea hit the car, which also had an infant and another man inside, and sent it into a pole at 2nd and Tilghman streets around 3:45 a.m. Monday.

Police also said Rivera-Alicea, who had been drinking, tried to hit the the driver of the car with his minivan once he got out.

The baby was sent to the hospital, but it appears no one was seriously hurt.
