Police: No charges to be filed after dog hit, killed by bus

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. - Police in Northampton County say no citations will be filed after a school bus driver hit and killed a dog.

The Great Dane was hit last week in Washington Township by a driver for a bus company contracted by the Bangor Area School District.

The dog later died.

Police say the driver did not stop, even after being told of the accident, but they tell us there is no indication of intentional wrongdoing and no citations will be filed against the driver or the dog's owner.
